ELECTED CHURCH COUNCIL
The following volunteers have been elected by our congregation to serve as
the overseers of our congregation, its life and ministry. Our Council meets
monthly in addition to tending to their various assigned responsibilities.
Chuck Hardy serves as our Congregational
President, having been a member and leader at LCG for many years. Chuck teaches
band at Simon Sanchez High School and is involved in many community music
groups, with clarinet as his primary instrument. Chuck is also one of LCG's
Lay Pastors. Married to Ona, they have three children and one grandchild.
Steve Miller chairs our Property
Committee. He is well qualified for that task, since he is an electrician
himself with many years of maintenance experience. Currently Steve
is employed by BHI Real Estate, helping to maintain properties all around
the island. Hailing from Colorado, Steve found his way to Guam via
the U.S. Air Force, from which he retired.
Anna Austin is our Fellowship
Committee chair. She is the "hostess with the mostest!" Growing up in Liberia
to missionary parents, Anna is a teacher but currently supervises the Direct
Instruction Program at the Ordot-Chalan Pago Elementary School. She
has lived on Guam for many years and is the mother to Noah, a 7th grade student.
Conor Bohannon serves as our Tender
Shepherd Board Chair. He is working toward his bachelor's degree in Biblical
Studies at the Pacific Islands Bible College and is employed part-time here
at LCG as our IT Staffperson. Conor and his wife, Terry, comes from
Oregon and have two adult children--both of whom are also students here on
Guam.
Keith Sage is our Congregational
Treasurer and chairs our Finance & Development Committee. Keith was an
immigration officer for the U.S. Immigration & Naturalization Service
and now, in his retirement, works as an immigration consultant. Married to
Ann (who, some years back, worked as LCG's secretary), they have three grown
daughters and six grandchildren.
Ken Radford is a Navy nurse, working
in the Intensive Care Unit at Navy Hospital. From Minnesota, Ken is
married to Heidi, and they have two children, Kaylee (5 years old) and Adam
(3years old). He chairs our Education & Youth Committee and enjoys diving,
golfing, biking and playing with his kids in his spare time. Ken helps to
bring the military perspective to our congregation.
Stacy Larsen
serves as our Evangelism & Stewardship Team's Chairperson. Our
newest Council member, Stacy brings lots of great ideas to our ministry.
A music major from Western Washington University in her homestate of Washington,
Stacy also sings and plays bass on our Worship Team for the contemporary
service. Stacy is a "Navy wife," her husband, Bill, working aboard
the U.S.S. Frank Cable. They are the parents of one-year old Billy.
Kristine Hagen, aside from chairing
our Worship & Music Committee, also serves on our Altar Guild. A former
teacher, Kristine works as an educational textbook representative, manages
a large apartment complex on Guam and is husband to Gunnar and mother to
three grown daughters, and grandmother to one. The Hagens are Norwegian
but have lived the last 30 years overseas--in the Philippines, Singapore
and now on Guam.
Heidi Radford - Not a member of
our Church Council but serving a very important role as our Financial Secretary,
Heidi, together with husband Ken (noted above), live on Big Navy with their
two children, Kaylee and Adam. A full-time homemaker, Heidi hails from Minnesota
and enjoys scrapbooking, computers, outdoor activities and being together
with friends. She serves on our Finance & Development Committee,
as well as volunteering in many other areas of congregational life.
